Holalucas (2020-2021) | Helping first-time home buyers to save for their mortgage

Holalucas was a Proptech startup with a focus on helping people buy their first home through their rent.

I initially joined the startup to support UI and visual design. Together, we redesigned the company website and established the foundation for the user area. The strong rapport with the team led to my transition into a full-time role as a product designer.

From there, our focus on UX intensified. We gathered weekly feedback from users and leads to refine the onboarding process and optimize the lead acquisition funnel, conducting numerous user interviews and A/B tests.

One of the biggest challenges for first-time homebuyers is saving enough for a mortgage. This inspired us to create one of our most impactful features: a tool that helps users save based on their income, saving capacity, spending habits, and the type of property they wish to purchase. By leveraging this data, we provided users with personalized savings plans and a projected timeline to achieve their goals.

During this period I also was in charge of visual content for social media and marketing needs, including basic video editing.

In 2020, Holalucas became part of Kodit.io, a Finnish proptech company. Our entire development and product team joined Kodit.io as they expanded their operations into Spain.
